چکیده

Introduction The fundamental task of ontology matching is based on measuring the similarity between two ontology concepts [1]. However, we argue that a deeper semantic, terminological and linguistic analysis of specialized domain vocabularies is needed in order to establish a more sophisticated similarity measure that caters for the specific characteristics of this data. In particular we propose ’STL’, a novel similarity measure that takes semantic, terminological and linguistic variation into account.

XMap: results for OAEI 2015

This paper describes the configuration of XMap for the OAEI 2015 competition and discusses its results. XMap is able to automatically adapt to the matching task, choosing the best conguration for the given pair of ontologies. This is our third participation in the OAEI and we can see an overall improvement on nearly every task. 1 State, purpose, general statement XMap [1] [2] is a highly scalab...

Intuitionistic Fuzzy Information Measures with Application in Rating of Township Development

Predominantly in the faltering atmosphere, the precise value of some factors is difficult to measure. Though, it can be easily approximated by intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic term in the real-life world problem. To deal with such situations, in this paper two information measures based on trigonometric function for intuitionistic fuzzy sets, which are a generalized version of the fuzzy informat...

Resolving Terminological Heterogeneity In Ontologies

A system that enables interoperation among information sources using ontologies needs to resolve the terminological differences between ontologies. In this work, we present several methods that we have designed to match terms used in different ontologies. We have implemented two methods based on linguistic similarities of terms used in the ontologies. The first looks up a dictionary or semantic...

Towards a Standardized Linguistic Annotation of the Textual Content of Labels in Knowledge Representation Systems

We propose applying standardized linguistic annotation to terms included in labels of knowledge representation schemes (taxonomies or ontologies), hypothesizing that this would help improving ontology-based semantic annotation of texts. We share the view that currently used methods for including lexical and terminological information in such hierarchical networks of concepts are not satisfactor...

InsMT / InsMTL results for OAEI 2014 instance matching

InsMT and InsMTL are automatic instance-based ontology alignment systems which (a) annotate instances as first step. In the second step, the InsMT system (b) applies different terminological matchers with a local filter on these annotated instances. Contrary to InsMT, the InsMTL system (b) matches the annotated instances not only at terminological level but also at linguistic level. For the fir...
